The portal opens Tuesday, April 15 at 9:00 a.m. Demand moves fast. First come, first served.
Here is what you need to know:
• Available only for residential block parties within Chicago
• Runs weekends from May 23 through September 6
• One request per block for the entire season
• Saturdays fill up fast. Sundays give you a better shot
• Not available July 4
• You must live on the block and secure a permit from your Alderman
If approved, your block gets four hours of nonstop energy. Delivered and picked up the same day.
Pro tip. Use a computer with Google Chrome. Enter everything manually. Submit the form. Look for the confirmation email. No email means no request.
